Chase The Victory Throws Hospital Sneaker Gift Party Over 85 Pediatric Cancer Patients at CHOA
Tuesday, December 16th, 2025
For the 5th consecutive year, Chase The Victory brought joy, hope, and comfort to more than 85 pediatric oncology and hematology patients and their families at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, by hosting a special celebration gifting personalized Sneaker Gift Packages to each patient.
Children from infants to teens and young adults were each given an impactful experience where they felt seen and understood amidst their fight. Tracy and Kiki McDaniel, the founders of Chase The Victory, presented each special gift to the patients and encouraged each heart by sharing that the sneakers inside were a reminder that they were not walking through this journey alone. The Chase The Victory team handpicked each pair of brand-new sneakers, selected individually for each patient. As patients opened up their Chase The Victory gift boxes, their eyes lit up with joy and their contagious smiles brought laughter that filled the room. Many immediately put on their brand new pair of sneakers. Gasps and exclamations and statements like “I’ve always wanted Jordans!” filled the room.
Parents and siblings who attended the party were also celebrated and given resources, reflecting Chase The Victory’s commitment to surrounding the entire family with hope along the difficult journey. Parents were reminded that they were also not alone through these moments of laughter, tears, and hugs. Siblings were reminded that they were seen too with toys and fun activities. Even nurses and hospital staff took a moment to celebrate the joy that filled the hallway for the day.
The day was all about generosity and community, and there is no better way to honor that than by showing up for these children and their families. Since its founding in 2020, the nonprofit Chase The Victory has provided over one thousand pairs of sneakers as gifts to encourage teens and children fighting cancer, a mission initiated by Chase McDaniel while he was fighting Stage IV Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma. Chase birthed the vision to give his favorite kind of gift to those who needed an opportunity to smile. After his passing in 2019, his parents, Tracy and Kiki McDaniel, founded Chase The Victory which continues to carry out his legacy. More than five years later, the impact of Chase The Victory has vastly expanded reaching families nationwide.
Through the generosity of donors who support the work of Chase The Victory, lives are changed and positively impacted all year long. Every gift of sneakers is truly a symbol of hope, smiles, joy and encouragement. A lifelong reminder to every patient that the community of Chase The Victory is here with you through the journey. You are not walking your battle alone.
