Hartsfield-Jackson Airport Expecting Busiest Holiday Travel Period Since Pandemic

The world’s busiest airport is gearing up for the upcoming Christmas holiday travel period, which it expects will be its busiest since the COVID-19 pandemic.
Airport officials expect 5.3 million travelers during the holiday period from Friday, Dec. 19, to Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026. Last year’s passenger count was close to 4 million, which was the highest since 5.2 million in 2022.
