Atlanta Housing Appoints Abdel Altamimi as Chief Financial Officer

Atlanta Housing today announced the appointment of Abdel Altamimi as Chief Financial Officer, effective Jan. 26, 2026. Altamimi has served as interim Chief Financial Officer and now assumes the role permanently, leading the agency’s financial strategy, reporting, and operational optimization to support long-term sustainability and growth.

Altamimi brings more than 20 years of experience driving organizational improvement across multiple industries, with expertise in financial strategy and analysis, forecasting, enterprise resource planning systems implementation, performance metrics, and process optimization.

“Abdel has demonstrated the financial discipline, judgment and steady leadership required to steward a complex public housing portfolio,” said Terri M. Lee, President and CEO of Atlanta Housing. “During his time as interim Chief Financial Officer, he strengthened financial oversight, supported agency operations and helped position Atlanta Housing for long-term sustainability. His appointment reflects the confidence he has earned across the organization, and I am confident he will continue to strengthen our financial foundation as we deliver on our mission.”

Altamimi has extensive global and cross-functional experience, including leading international financial operations, overseeing multimillion-dollar acquisitions, advising boards across Europe and Asia, and implementing cost-optimization initiatives that generated millions in savings while enabling strategic expansion.

A Georgia native, Altamimi was raised in an entrepreneurial environment and began building and operating businesses alongside his father at a young age, experiences that continue to shape his practical, values-driven leadership approach. He is a graduate of Kennesaw State University.
