Lorrie Allegra has been promoted from Managing Director to Partner at BT Family Office (BTFO). In this expanded role, she will continue to lead the firm’s family office practice, which supports ultra‑high‑net‑worth families as they navigate the complexities that accompany substantial, multigenerational wealth. Under her leadership, the practice remains dedicated to helping families preserve their wealth, uphold their values, and strengthen their legacy across generations. She plans to further elevate BTFO’s high‑touch, highly customized client experience guiding families to make informed, intentional decisions that align with their long‑term goals. As Partner, she will also continue to champion innovation within the practice, leading her team in leveraging automation and emerging technologies to deliver even greater value, efficiency, and insight to clients. Allegra holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and International Business from American University.
Ben Bowers has been promoted from Senior Manager to Managing Director in Bennett Thrasher’s Personal Financial Services practice. In this role, he will expand the firm’s market presence, foster new client relationships and provide exceptional service to high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses. Bowers will continue to focus on proactively delivering tax advisory services, staying ahead of evolving tax developments and offering strategic guidance to support informed client decision-making. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Georgia.
Jackie Butcher has been promoted from Senior Manager to Managing Director in Bennett Thrasher’s Commercial Tax practice. Based in the firm’s Denver office, Butcher will lead the delivery of tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse client base, including emerging startups and investment companies. Butcher brings a wealth of expertise working closely with partnership entities and advising high-net-worth individuals to support their strategic objectives, drive growth, and advise on tax-efficient strategies. She will continue to invest in long-term growth, focusing on firm’s local market presence and associate development. Butcher holds a Master of Science in Business Administration (Taxation) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance and Accounting) from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Michael McCord has been promoted from Senior Manager to Partner in Bennett Thrasher’s Commercial Tax practice. In his new role, he will deliver thoughtful, value-driven solutions for large- and middle-market clients, mentor associates and continue identifying opportunities to accelerate the firm’s growth. McCord has extensive compliance and consulting experience, with expertise in federal and state income tax provisions (ASC 740), federal, international, and multistate tax issues and mergers and acquisitions. His industry background includes manufacturing and distribution, technology, construction and professional services. He holds a Master of Taxation, a Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and finance from Georgia State University.
