Kelly Harper Lee Joins Board of Directors of the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library Foundation

The Atlanta-Fulton Public Library Foundation (AFPLF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kelly Harper Lee to its Board of Directors.

Lee currently serves as the Community Affairs Manager for the Atlanta, GA, and Columbus, OH Field Offices at McDonald’s Corporation, where she leads community engagement efforts across eight states. In this role, she builds strategic partnerships aligned with McDonald’s priorities and works closely with Owner/Operators to drive positive community impact.

Previously, Lee was Director of Community Impact for the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream, leading major social impact initiatives and partnerships, including collaborations with Former First Lady Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote and the City of Atlanta. Additionally, she previously worked as a leadership coach and managed strategic community initiatives within the Global Social Responsibility team at McKinsey & Company, including its partnership with the workforce development nonprofit Generation.

A former educator, Lee was named D.C. Teacher of the Year and was a finalist for National Teacher of the Year. She has been a featured speaker at the White House, the Congressional Black Caucus, and the ESSENCE Girls United Summit.

Lee holds a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Spelman College. She is currently pursuing her MBA at the University of Georgia Terry School of Business, with an expected graduation in Spring 2026.
