Explore Brookhaven is entering a pivotal new chapter, marked by new staff announcements, national industry recognition and its recent move to the Brookhaven City Centre. Together, these milestones reflect the organization’s continued momentum in elevating Brookhaven as a destination for visitors, meetings and events.
Explore Brookhaven has named Tim Grow as Executive Director and Megan Brown as Director of Marketing, while David Kemp continues to lead sales efforts as Director of Sales. These organizational developments coincide with Explore Brookhaven’s relocation to the new Brookhaven City Centre, where the organization will also manage the venue space, expanding its ability to support meetings, events and community programming.
As Executive Director, Tim Grow brings extensive experience in financial management and operations, with a leadership style focused on clear processes, accountability and long-term sustainability. Known for his practical, results-driven approach, Grow emphasizes building strong partnerships to create meaningful economic impact and support Brookhaven’s continued growth.
“I am honored to step into the role of Executive Director and grateful for the trust placed in me by the Board and the City of Brookhaven,” said Grow. “My background in finance and operations has shaped a leadership approach grounded in accountability, transparency, and results. I’m excited to build on the strong foundation already in place and work closely with our partners to continue elevating Brookhaven as a vibrant, welcoming destination for visitors and our community alike.”
Megan Brown, who has been with Explore Brookhaven for three years, has been promoted to Director of Marketing. A graduate of Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Entertainment Studies and a minor in Marketing, Brown oversees the organization’s strategic marketing plan and execution of digital and traditional campaigns. She is a Certified Professional in Destination Management through Destinations International and a Certified Travel Marketing Professional through Southeast Tourism Society.
David Kemp brings more than 40 years of experience in hospitality and sales to his role as Director of Sales. A graduate of Shorter College with an MBA from Mercer University, Kemp previously served as Membership and Partnership Manager for the Southeast Tourism Society and continues to leverage longstanding industry relationships to support Brookhaven’s sales efforts and partner engagement.
These organizational milestones follow Explore Brookhaven’s recent achievement of Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP) status through Destinations International, a prestigious designation that recognizes excellence in destination management, governance and marketing. Earning DMAP accreditation places Explore Brookhaven among an elite group of destination organizations nationwide and reinforces its commitment to industry best practices.
The organization’s move to the new Brookhaven City Centre further strengthens its connection to the community. By managing the venue space within the City Centre, Explore Brookhaven will play a direct role in attracting events, supporting local partners and activating a central gathering place for residents and visitors alike.
