Georgia State Online Programs Ranked in Top 15 in U.S. News & World Report Rankings

In its 2026 edition of Best Online Programs, U.S. News & World Report ranked several Georgia State online programs among the nation’s best.
Georgia State’s online master’s in criminal justice program climbed significantly, up 28 spots, to No. 13. Georgia State’s online master's in nursing, family nurse practitioner program ranked for the first time, landing at No. 8. These gains reflect the university’s ongoing efforts to deliver exceptional online graduate education tailored to the needs of diverse learners.
Georgia State’s online bachelor’s in psychology program ranked No. 7, and the online bachelor’s in business administration program ranked No. 15. It is the second year in a row the two programs have been recognized among the nation’s top 15 by U.S. News, which chose factors that weigh how online programs are delivered and their effectiveness at awarding affordable degrees in a reasonable amount of time to all types of students.
U.S. News assessed schools based on four categories: Engagement, Services and Technologies, Faculty Credentials and Training, and Peer Assessment.

For six years in a row, U.S. News & World Report has ranked Georgia State the No. 1 public university for undergraduate teaching. Georgia State’s online programs offer the same acclaimed commitment to first-rate instruction.
