HPM announced today that Chris Webb, senior program manager, has been appointed as secretary for the Association for Learning Environments Georgia chapter (GA4LE). In this role, he oversees the organization’s administrative responsibilities while supporting its president and board of directors.
The Association for Learning Environments (A4LE) is a global nonprofit association dedicated to improving the places where children learn. Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, the organization was founded in 1921 as the National Council on Schoolhouse Construction, later becoming the Council of Educational Facility Planners International in 1971 before adopting its current name in 2015. A4LE brings together school administrators, educators, designers, builders and other industry professionals to advance K–12 learning environments through collaboration, continuing education and information sharing.
Within Georgia, the chapter serves as a hub for school systems undertaking capital projects, connecting facility leaders with a broad network of industry expertise in planning, design and construction. Unique to the Georgia chapter, GA4LE’s president is always a school employee, helping ensure the organization’s work remains grounded in and responsive to the needs of local schools.
“Being part of GA4LE is an opportunity to support the people responsible for delivering great learning environments across our state,” said Webb. “What makes this chapter special is its strong network of school leaders and industry partners who are willing to share their experience and learn from one another. I’m proud to serve in a role that helps keep that collaboration moving and ensures our school systems have access to the resources required to deliver successful projects.”
Over the past five years, Webb has been an active member of GA4LE, previously serving on the education and golf tournament committees. Throughout his involvement, he has contributed to the success of the Annual Conference and the Annual Golf Tournament.
