Georgia Quick Start hosted a training plan signing on January 27, 2026 at 11 a.m. to commemorate its partnership with stow Group and Georgia Northwestern Technical College.
The Belgium-based company is investing $36 million to build a new industrial storage and automation solution facility outside of Adairsville, Georgia, and it plans to hire 200 employees for production roles as well as logistics, administrative and management roles.
Georgia Quick Start, the state’s top-ranked workforce training program, will be providing customized training for stow, including several hands-on labs such as a Safety Evaluation Room and Torquing Room.
“stow’s decision to come to Georgia is a strong vote of confidence in our workforce,” said Scott McMurray, Deputy Commissioner at Georgia Quick Start. “Quick Start is here to provide employees with the skills they need for long-term success.”
The scope of training also includes courses such as the stow manufacturing process, upright operations, beam operations, bracing operations, logistics and warehousing operations and assembly. Four customized courses will be complete eLearning courses, with trainees completing training in a computer lab.
“Quick Start will be an invaluable partner as we prepare to bring this facility online,” said Michael Morgenroth, General Plant Manager for stow Manufacturing in Adairsville. “The training plan developed with their team is aligned with our operational goals and safety standards. Their team has worked closely with us to understand our processes and company-specific needs.”
The training program involves three distinct partners: stow, Georgia Northwestern Technical College and Georgia Quick Start. Each partner will be responsible for the successful completion of the program. Quick Start will deliver training during the expansion, and Georgia Northwestern Technical College will be stow’s long-term partner, available for ongoing training and providing a pipeline of qualified graduates to meet future workforce needs.
“Georgia Northwestern Technical College is proud to partner with Georgia Quick Start to support stow Group’s decision to locate in Gordon County,” said Georgia Northwestern Technical College President Heidi Popham. “By working together, we are helping to ensure a skilled workforce while creating opportunities for our communities across northwest Georgia.”
The Development Authority of Gordon County, Gordon County Chamber, Georgia Power and the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) worked with Georgia Northwestern Technical College and Georgia Quick Start to qualify stow Group for the training support as their operations are upgraded.
Training is scheduled to begin in March at the Quick Start Cartersville Training Complex.
