Thomas & Hutton Grows Atlanta Office with Two New Team Members

Thomas & Hutton (T&H), a privately held and employee-owned professional services firm known for its award-winning culture and 80 years of shaping communities across the Southeast, is pleased to welcome Maryam Underwood, PE, as a Project Engineer in the Water Resources Department and Emily Thepsavong as an Administrator to the firm’s Atlanta office.
Maryam Underwood, PE, is a licensed Civil Engineer in Georgia and Puerto Rico with extensive experience in water resources engineering. Her background includes the design of pipelines, drainage systems, hydrologic studies, and site development projects from design through construction. She holds a Georgia Erosion & Sedimentation Control Level IA certification and has prepared construction plans, contract documents, cost estimates, and regulatory applications for stormwater capital improvement projects, including drainage rehabilitation and flood control structures.
At T&H, Maryam will conduct hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality analyses; design best management practices to meet permitting requirements; and support stormwater and infrastructure initiatives. She is proficient in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ICPR, XPSWMM, ArcMap, and Civil 3D.
Emily Thepsavong joins the team with strong experience in administrative support and client service.
Most recently with State Farm, she developed expertise in operations, communication, and coordination. In her role at T&H, Emily will support project teams through administrative and operational assistance to help ensure efficient office and project delivery.
