David Simon, chairman, president and CEO of Simon Property Group Inc., died March 22 after a battle with cancer, the company announced. He was 64.
Simon died peacefully surrounded by family, according to the company. His death marks the end of an era for the nation’s largest mall owner and one of the most influential figures in commercial real estate.
