Georgia Trauma Foundation – a nonprofit investing in trauma care to help save lives in Georgia – presents the One Georgia Gala, its signature, annual fundraising event. It takes place 6-10 p.m. Saturday, May 30 at the Delta Flight Museum in Atlanta.

Newly renamed the One Georgia Gala, the event embodies a clear vision: one unified state trauma system delivering one consistent level of life-saving care. This unforgettable evening brings together healthcare leaders, first responders, trauma survivors, medical professionals, and community supporters to raise vital funds for critical trauma programs. These programs ensure that when the unthinkable happens, the best possible care is available to every Georgian in need.

“We want to remind everyone that survival shouldn’t depend on a zip code or one’s socioeconomic status,” says Cheryle Ward, executive director of Georgia Trauma Foundation. “We’ll be gathering to raise funds to help ensure the quality, readiness, coordination, and timeliness of trauma care meet the same standard throughout the entire state.”

Monies raised at the One Georgia Gala go directly toward Georgia Trauma Foundation programs such as:

  • Community Investment Grants: Awarding grants annually to Georgia-based organizations, such as hospitals, first responder agencies, and non-profits, that are making an impact in trauma care. These grants specifically support groups that prioritize patient outcomes, injury prevention, and emergency readiness across the state.
  • Stop the Bleed: Raising vital funds to support the statewide Stop the Bleed initiative. Providing medical-grade bleeding control kits to Georgia schools to ensure teachers, staff, and students have the tools and training to turn a bystander into a life-saver.
  • Rural Continuing Education Program: Funding complimentary, world-class training directly to rural ER teams, ensuring every Georgian has access to life-saving care, no matter where they are.

Georgia Trauma Foundation’s One Georgia Gala includes an evening of inspiring speakers, live entertainment, a gourmet dinner provided by Legendary Events, and live and silent auctions. The latter features a dream Egyptian vacation, an adventure in the Galapagos Islands, a golf excursion in Italy, and a Japanese culinary experience.

Tickets are $175 each or $1,750 for a table of 10 and can be purchased at GeorgiaTraumaFoundation.org.

The Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport Hotel is offering special rates.

One Georgia Gala event sponsorship opportunities are now available for organizations and individuals wishing to support the event and Georgia Trauma Foundation as a whole.

“Our goal is to unite and build a future where every Georgian can rest easy, confident that trauma care is always within reach and ready to deliver when it matters most,” Ward says. “One state. One standard.”
