Jim Chapman, CEO of Jim Chapman Construction Group (JCCG), has been elected 2026 Third Vice Chairman of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The election took place during the 2026 International Builders’ Show in Orlando. Chapman now steps onto NAHB’s leadership ladder, a progression that leads to him serving as NAHB Chairman in 2029.

“I’m deeply honored by the trust my peers have placed in me,” said Chapman. “Housing is foundational to economic strength and opportunity in this country. I’m committed to advancing policies that increase supply, protect affordability and support builders of all sizes as they meet the evolving needs of American families.”

As CEO of JCCG, Chapman leads a build-to-rent general contracting firm specializing in lot development, home construction and amenity delivery for institutional investors and private developers. Licensed across the Southeast and in Indianapolis, Indiana, JCCG continues to grow its regional footprint in response to strong demand for purpose-built rental housing.

In 2025, JCCG completed 708 homes and delivered 1,040 developed lots across Georgia, Alabama, Florida and Indiana. The company also strengthened its development pipeline with six new communities totaling 1,210 lots now underway: Creekside Cottages in Opelika, AL; Summerfield Cottages in Wildwood, FL; Heartwood at Richmond Hill in Richmond Hill, GA; VLux Madison in Madison, AL; Fellowship at Higher Ground in Milledgeville, GA; and Avanza at Hyde Park in Noblesville, IN. Since its inception, JCCG has completed 2,949 homes, 3,900 lots and 10 amenity complexes.

Chapman has long been active in industry leadership. He previously served as President of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and the Home Builders Association of Georgia. At the national level, he has chaired multiple NAHB committees, including the 55+ Housing Industry Council, Single Family Builders Committee and Build PAC.  He currently serves as Georgia’s State Representative to NAHB.

Chapman lives in Atlanta with his wife, Katherine, and their two children.
