The Lawrence Hotel Announces Leadership Team Ahead of Summer 2026 Opening

Leading the team as General Manager is Chase Wynn, who brings more than 15 years of hospitality leadership experience to the position. Originally from Los Angeles, Wynn has held leadership roles with Hilton, Marriott, and Hyatt. Known for building high-performing teams and delivering exceptional guest experiences, Wynn is thrilled to be named as the “head coach” and GM of what he believes will be an award-winning team and hotel in downtown Lawrenceville, Georgia.
“I will personally be involved in the selection and development of everyone on my roster. We will be building careers, not just filling jobs,” said Wynn. “As a former collegiate student-athlete, I have a passion for building and motivating teams to succeed and am excited to bring that mindset to The Lawrence and help create a welcoming destination for both visitors and the Lawrenceville community.”
Serving as Director of Sales, Helen Thomas brings more than 20 years of experience in the boutique and luxury hotel markets. Her career includes leadership roles across Marriott, Hilton and Choice properties, with a deep understanding of not only systems but more importantly of long-term relationship building. Thomas will oversee sales, marketing, and revenue strategies to position The Lawrence as a premier destination for meetings, events, and leisure travelers.
The hotel’s culinary program will be led by Executive Chef Dominic Simpson, an Atlanta-based chef with more than 25 years of experience. Simpson trained under renowned chefs Paul Albrecht and Joel Antunes and is known for his culinary philosophy centered on seasonality, quality, and precision. His approach emphasizes refined, yet approachable dishes crafted with fresh, locally sourced beef, poultry, herbs, and vegetables. Chef Dominic most recently hails from two award-winning restaurants in Augusta, Georga as opening Chef for Salt & Marrow and 8595, two iconic and renowned upscale dining establishments. Chef Dominic will infuse classic southern culinary dishes with a nod to healthy Mediterranean offerings. The four-story, 120-room hotel will feature two dining concepts, Bellfire and Old Nick’s, along with more than 6,000 square feet of event space.
