Lenbrook Vice President, Health Services Honored with McKnight’s Women of Distinction Award

Lenbrook, Atlanta’s premier intown community for engaged senior living for more than 40 years, proudly announces that Nettie Thrash, Vice President, Health Services, has been inducted into the Hall of Honor in the 2026 McKnight’s Women of Distinction awards.

Now in its eighth year, the joint program of McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, McKnight’s Senior Living and McKnight’s Home Care recognizes women who have made a significant impact on their organizations and the skilled nursing, senior living and home care industries. Hall of Honor inductees are senior-level professionals serving in the C-suite or at the vice president level and above.

A desire to help others and make a difference has fueled Thrash's career of over 50 years in nursing and healthcare management. She leads Lenbrook's comprehensive health services continuum, including the Clinic, Assisted Living Center, Medicare-certified Health Care Center (encompassing short-term rehabilitation, memory care and long-term care), and Menders by Lenbrook home care services. Thrash joined Lenbrook in 2003 after more than 25 years as a Nurse and Business Manager at Grady Health System and is preparing for retirement at the end of this year.

Thrash’s commitment to community health extends beyond Lenbrook. She is a ministry leader for outreach and community services at her church, overseeing the adoption of a local nursing home. She is also an active member of The Atlanta Black Nurses Association and the Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc.
