Paddle Raise Returns to Georgia CASA's Twentieth Annual Casa on the Catwalk Event

Georgia Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), the state organization that supports and promotes volunteer advocates for children in foster care, is holding its twentieth annual CASA on the Catwalk. The luncheon and fashion show will be held at a private club in the Buckhead area of Atlanta on Tuesday, April 14. Featuring spring women’s fashions from Buckhead Village, including Abbey Glass, Alice + Olivia, Brochu Walker, Hill House, Rails, Franklin & Co., and B.M., the event raises funds to support affiliate CASA programs in all 159 counties across the state. To expand fundraising efforts, event organizers added a paddle raise last year and have announced that it will return for this year’s luncheon. Hosted by Dean Crownover, the event aims to exceed last year’s success.
“Georgia CASA’s annual luncheon and fashion show is always a fun time,” said committee member Sandy Day. “We ring in the season with spring fashions and connecting with friends, but most importantly, we are supporting the children and families in our state who are experiencing a crisis. By bringing back the paddle raise, we are ensuring that the mission stays front and center. It’s a wonderful experience to know that in a room filled with fantastic people who are leading our Georgia communities and culture, a strong sense of philanthropy and generosity permeates. I am so proud to be a part of planning this event and excited to watch it unfold.”
Passionate ambassadors for Georgia’s children support the cause and the event by sponsoring tables, joining the planning committee, and by modeling the fashions. The planning committee is co-chaired by Alexis Vaughn and Amanda Hall. Themed Palm Royale, this year’s event is emceed by WAGA-FOX5 on-air personality Deidra Dukes.
