Kudos to the 30 Cub Scouts and parents from Scouting America Pack 525 (Simpsonwood UMC) and residents of the Towns at Peachtree Corners neighborhood who gathered on a recent Saturday morning to pick up trash along the trails, lakes, and creeks in Technology Park.
Organized by Peachtree Corners City Councilmember Eric Christ and with supplies provided by the United Peachtree Corners Civic Association, the scouts and adults spent several hours on February 28 collecting litter throughout Technology Park.
The participants collected over 400 gallons of trash - lots of plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and Styrofoam. Additional items found included the metal base of an office chair (wheels still attached), a broken drone, multiple car tires, and even a microwave!
"My thanks to all who participated in the clean-up," said Councilmember Christ. "Their teamwork truly demonstrated the best of Peachtree Corners."
