Tommy Nobis Center (TNC), an Atlanta nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities enter or return to employment, will host its 28th Annual Galaxy of Stars Luncheon on Friday, April 24, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

As TNC’s premier fundraising event and awards ceremony, Galaxy of Stars celebrates the incredible accomplishments of individuals with disabilities and recognizes the community leaders who champion their success. This year’s theme, “Aspire: Dare to Dream,” reflects the belief that when individuals are empowered with opportunity, support, and training, they can pursue meaningful careers and achieve their goals.

“Every day at Tommy Nobis Center, we see our participants aspire to do more, achieve more, and pursue meaningful careers,” said Dave Ward, President and CEO of Tommy Nobis Center. “Galaxy of Stars is an inspiring celebration of those journeys and of the community partners who help make those dreams possible.”

This year’s honorees include:
  • Aarti Sahgal – Lifetime Achievement Award
  • Nicole DeWard – Community Champion Award
  • Julia Washington – Tommy Nobis Rising Star Award

Cobb EMC Foundation is the Presenting Sponsor of this year’s event.

In addition to the luncheon, an online auction will open on Wednesday April 8, offering supporters another way to contribute to TNC’s mission. All proceeds from the event and auction directly support programs and services that help youth and adults with disabilities prepare for, secure, and succeed in meaningful employment.
