The Council for Quality Growth, in partnership with the Douglas County Chamber and Douglas County Government, will host the 2026 State of Douglas County Address on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Douglasville Conference Center, presented by Amazon. The lunch will feature the annual address from Douglas County Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Dr. Romona Jackson Jones. Over 350 Council and Chamber members, elected officials, businesses, residents, county staff, and partners of Douglas County are expected to attend on Wednesday.

The Council’s State of Douglas County annually convenes the county’s business community with its local government bodies, as well as with other local leaders from across the region. Chairwoman Dr. Romona Jackson Jones will deliver the State of Douglas County address to present achievements and projects from the last year, in addition to an outlook for what’s ahead in 2026.

The 2026 State of Douglas will also feature remarks from 2026 Council Chair & Executive Director at ATL Airport CIDs, Gerald McDowell, Douglas County’s Chief Communications Officer, Yvette Jones, and Douglas County Chamber’s President & CEO, Sara Ray and Chair, Alicia Doherty, Regional Executive for American Red Cross Georgia. Amazon will give remarks as the event’s presenting sponsor and Pamela Burnett, Executive Director of the Georgia Association of Water Professionals, will deliver an update on behalf of the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District.
