WHAT: Christian City, the 61-year-old nonprofit organization with a nearly 500-acre, multigenerational campus in South Fulton County, is honoring Google, YMCA of Metro Atlanta and Michael J. Russell at its annual Community Champion Awards on Wednesday, April 29 at Georgia Aquarium. 

Since 2019, the Community Champion Awards has celebrated exceptional individuals, nonprofit organizations and corporations that have made a lasting impact across metro Atlanta. The three individuals and organizations being honored join a distinguished group of honorees that include Dan Cathy, Stephanie Blank, Bill Rogers, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Atlanta Braves, Delta Airlines, The Home Depot, Mayor Andre Dickens, Georgia Power, Goodwill of North Georgia and more.

The event’s silent auction will be open to the public, featuring exclusive items and experiences, including five tickets to a private Gullwing suite located on the 50-yard line at Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the Czechia vs. South Africa World Cup match on June 18 at noon . The rare World Cup Premiere Package includes an unlimited buffet and open bar, as well as VIP parking in the stadium’s Silver Deck. There are no restrictions on bidding  — anyone from anywhere in the country will be able to bid on the package. Bidding for the auction has started. Participants may place a bid here. 

Tickets are now on sale, with proceeds from the evening benefiting Christian City programs that provide vital services to children and families in crisis. Guests will enjoy a social hour, dinner and a program, a live auction and a silent auction.
