Metro Atlanta's City of Hope Cancer Center Working to Bring Care Closer to Patients

Theia Taylor, a married mother of two, works as a speech pathologist in Alabama.
"It’s been a wonderful career because I’ve worked with geriatrics, school aged kids, preschoolers, adults," Taylor said. “People have problems, and you have some skills that might help improve their lives.”
Taylor would need to count on skilled doctors to not just improve her life but save it. Three years ago, she was diagnosed with colorectal cancer at the age of 49. Hospitals in her area did not have the staff or the capability to treat her. So Taylor drive five hours roundtrip to City of Hope Cancer Center in Newnan for care.
