Sterling Seacrest Pritchard Grants Wish for Local Child through Make-A-Wish Georgia

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Sterling Seacrest Pritchard was recently presented with the opportunity to grant a “wish” to a local child through a partnership with Make-A-Wish Georgia. This year’s presentation was particularly special as the “Wish Kid” selected was the six-year-old son of a Sterling Seacrest Pritchard team member, Marie Volk.

Marie’s son, Robbie, bravely battled cancer for over two years and “rang the bell” in November, marking the conclusion of over 800 days of treatment. Despite the challenges that he faces every day, he is an active little boy who loves playing video games, P.E. Class, coloring and Hot Wheels Race Cars. When Robbie learned that he was being granted a wish, he knew he wanted to spend the week with his family at the most magical place on earth, Walt Disney World. Robbie also loves dinosaurs and noted he is the most excited about riding Jurassic Park at Universal Studios. Robbie and his family were recently presented with his wish at a dinosaur-themed party hosted by Sterling Seacrest Pritchard.

Sterling Seacrest Pritchard Partner Joel Stern currently serves on the Make-A-Wish Georgia Advisory Board and previously served as the Board Chair of the Make-A-Wish Georgia Atlanta Young Professionals. “It was quite powerful to see SSP show up in such a big way for Robbie, Marie, and their family,” said Stern. “The culture at SSP is uniquely special and to witness our group not only support an organization that is so key to our community but also our SSP team - was a remarkable thing to witness.”

For over 30 years, Make-A-Wish Georgia has brought transformational wishes to over 10,000 critically ill children and their families. Last year alone, the organization granted 506 wishes to Georgia kids. The organization is the #1 most trusted non-profit operating across all fifty states (Source: Morning Consult 2025).

“Wish celebrations are always special, but this wish celebration was especially so due to Robbie's mom, Marie, being an employee at SSP,” said Make-A-Wish Georgia Individual Giving Manager Jaylie Stratton. “Not only did SSP grant a life-changing wish for a local child, but they got to create special memories for an SSP family. What a full circle moment!”
