Altera Film Festival Announces Location for Its Two-Day Immersive AI Experience

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Tuesday, May 26th, 2026

Altera Festival (previously known as Atlanta International AI Film Festival) is redefining how storytelling and technology come together. The event will bring creators from film, music, media, design, education, advertising and technology to share work, test ideas and explore new creative possibilities on June 16  and 17. A red-carpet event, which will feature key activations, will be held on June 16th. The festival will be held at Ambient Studios 585 Wells St., SW, Unit A Atlanta GA 30312 located less than a 10 minutes drive from Mercedes-Benz Stadium and within 15 minute walk of MARTA access.

“You’ll find screenings, panels, live demos and experiences built by people who aren’t afraid to test boundaries and rethink what stories can be,” explained Natalia Gonzalez, the founder and Creator of Altera Festival. “[Our festival] stands out because it's not just a film festival, it's an ecosystem for the future of storytelling. We focus on how emerging technologies like AI, XR, and spatial computing are actively reshaping the creative process, not just showcasing finished films.”

The comprehensive two-day immersive event will feature curated film screenings, technical workshops, live demonstrations, and high-level panels featuring leaders at the forefront of storytelling and technology.

Organizers have described the event as “Summit and Cinema.” Attendees can also expect conversations with creatives and industry leaders working at the intersection of storytelling and technology.

“Altera Festival is a two-day experience built for two distinct audiences. Day 1, The Commercial Ready Summit, is designed for brand leaders, CMOs, agencies, legal experts, and innovation leaders navigating generative media and the shifting media environment," said Gonzalez. "Day 2, The Craft, is built for filmmakers, AI artists, and digital creators doing the work. Both evenings close with cinema programming celebrating the most innovative work being made right now.”

Each day is programmed independently, with its own speakers, sessions, and networking designed around a specific professional context, so attendees get an experience built for them rather than a general industry crowd.
