Atlanta City Council Approves Proposal for Special Committee on Piedmont Park Event Safety

The Atlanta City Council on Monday approved a proposal for a new committee that will focus on Piedmont Park event safety.
A resolution passed by the council establishes the Atlanta Special Event Technical Advisory Group (SETAG) for "the purpose of reviewing and recommending improvements to the special event permitting process, including the language and enforcement of applicable laws; to evaluate event-related impacts on public safety, park operations and surrounding neighborhoods, specific to Piedmont Park" and more.
