Atlanta Classical Academy (ACA), a public charter school dedicated to classical education and civic formation, will host a special interdisciplinary Fine Arts production commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States. 

The event will feature student performances and artwork that highlight the music, stories, and historical influences that have shaped the nation. More than just a concert, the multifaceted production reflects the school’s mission to produce graduates who have acquired the knowledge taught in its American classical, liberal arts curriculum. 

“This production is a beautiful expression of our ACA curriculum,” said Fine Arts Director Bryan Franklin. “In a classical education, students encounter the ideas and history that have formed our country. Through our productions, our students become active participants, narrating the story of America.” 

The program will include selections connected to key moments in American history, offering audiences an opportunity to experience our nation’s story through visual art, and instrumental and choir performances. 

“As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, we want our students to understand both the inheritance they have received and the responsibility they carry as future citizens,” noted Head of School Josh Andrew.  

The program is open to families, friends, and members of the community.

Upper School Production: America 250 

• Pre-show lecture on James Lafayette and the meaning of courage by Upper School History Teacher and Assistant Head of School David Rosenzweig (5 p.m.) 
• Concert performance directed by Fine Arts Director Bryan Franklin, featuring ACA seventh through twelfth grade piano, strings and choir students (6 p.m.)
