Thursday, May 14th, 2026
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority will celebrate the completion of a new pedestrian bridge and west plaza at Indian Creek Station with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, May 18, at 10 a.m.
Indian Creek rail station is the easternmost terminus of the Blue Line and plays an important role in connecting customers in eastern DeKalb County to the greater MARTA system, serving an average of 3,000 customers a day. This event marks a key milestone in the Indian Creek Rehabilitation Project.
The centerpiece of the project is a new pedestrian bridge which gives residents on Durham Park Road access to the north end of the station. Additional upgrades include new lighting and illuminated signage, new landscaping, benches, and trash receptacles, deep cleaning, new public artwork, and a repaved bus loop. A new operators’ booth and restroom have also been added to the platform.
The project was completed in partnership with Carroll Daniel Construction Company and C.D. Moody Construction Company.
