Moore Colson Expands Business and Financial Advisory Practices with Addition of Brett Dixon

Moore Colson, an award-winning accounting and advisory firm in Atlanta, recently announced the addition of Brett Dixon, CFA, ABV, ASA, as a director in the firm's Business and Financial Advisory Practice Area.

Dixon brings more than 19 years of experience focusing on performing valuations of business entities and intangible assets to assist clients with M&A and dispositions; taxation planning and compliance; financial reporting and strategic planning. At Moore Colson, he will deliver valuation and advisory solutions across a range of engagements, including ownership transition/exit planning, purchase price allocations, financial reporting requirements and estate and gift tax planning. His industry focus is in consumer and industrial products, having performed valuations in the automotive; chemicals and specialty materials; consumer products; industrial products and services; retail, wholesale and distribution; and travel, hospitality and services sectors.

Prior to joining Moore Colson, Dixon served as a director at a top 100 accounting firm in Atlanta, where he managed and delivered valuations of businesses and intangible assets for financial reporting; estate and gift tax; and M&A engagements. Before that, he spent nearly 14 years at Deloitte, where he performed financial reporting valuations; provided financial modeling assistance; performed valuations for tax purposes; advised buyers and sellers on M&A, joint ventures and divestitures; and supported audit teams on fair value matters.

Dixon earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Florida. He is a Non-CPA Associate Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, an Associate Member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and an Affiliated Professional Member of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council. Dixon is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA).
