Ponce City Market announces Rye 51, a modern menswear brand offering hand-tailored pieces and ready-to-wear daily essentials, will relocate to a new, expanded space in June after 11 years at the property. The new 2,800-square-foot store will bring the brand’s luxury take on casual, modern menswear and formal apparel to the ground floor of 619 Ponce, the four-story mass timber building adjacent to Ponce City Market’s historic main building. Rye 51 will join fellow ground-floor retailers including Pottery Barn, which occupies more than 18,000 square feet, and beloved ice cream brand Van Leeuwen.

Founded in 2003 by second-generation haberdasher Raja Ratan, Rye 51 was created as a well-curated, timeless collection of quality menswear. What began as a single boutique dedicated exclusively to custom clothing has evolved into a full-fledged menswear brand rooted in the timeless traditions of tailoring, yet designed for the rhythm of modern life. Rye 51’s commitment remains the same today: to offer the modern gentleman a complete wardrobe experience, defined by craftsmanship, intention, and unparalleled service. The brand uses the world’s finest textiles and believes true style lies in the subtle details and power of a perfectly tailored garment.

Rye 51 is excited to unveil a new space at Ponce City Market designed to better showcase the full breadth of the brand. With high ceilings, abundant natural light, and an open, elevated layout, the store will bring together every product category – from tailored clothing to luxury casual wear.

“This move marks an exciting next chapter as we transition Rye 51 as a standalone brand,” says Raja Ratan, President. “Our new space is thoughtfully designed to reflect how men dress today – anchored in elevated casual wear, with custom clothing seamlessly integrated into a complete wardrobe experience.”

Ponce City Market first opened its doors in 2014 and has since been credited as a catalyst for revitalizing Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward neighborhood. The community hub has become a must-visit place on travelers’ Atlanta bucket lists, a beacon in Atlanta’s skyline and a destination for locals to gather, shop, eat, and live. Small business owners and world-class retailers have grown at Ponce City Market, with many expanding into larger spaces, like Elk Head Clothing, Pizza Jeans, Glad & Young, Madewell, and more.

“Rye 51 has a long-standing history at Ponce City Market,” said Adam Schwegman, head of retail leasing at Jamestown. “The new, larger space at 619 Ponce positions the brand to showcase its ever-evolving point-of-view while continuing to deliver the elevated experience its customers expect.”
