Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators, the largest family-owned pest and termite control company in the United States ranked by revenue, is proud to announce the promotion of Shay Runion to Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

A valued member of the Arrow family for more than 20 years, Runion has served as Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Vice President of Professional Development for the past 14 years. With more than 25 years of experience in the pest management industry, she has played an instrumental role in shaping Arrow’s people-first culture, developing future leaders, and supporting the company’s continued growth and success.

“Shay’s impact on Arrow Exterminators has been extraordinary,” said Emily Thomas Kendrick, CEO of Arrow Exterminators. “She is a servant leader who genuinely cares about our people and our culture. Her passion for developing others, coupled with her strategic leadership and unwavering commitment to our values, has helped make Arrow the company it is today. We are thrilled to recognize her contributions with this well-deserved promotion.”

Since joining Arrow’s Strategic Leadership Team in 2012, Runion has provided leadership for Human Resources, Recruiting, Benefits, Payroll, and Professional Development. She also founded Arrow University, the company’s award-winning training and development program, which has helped prepare thousands of team members for leadership opportunities throughout the organization.

In addition to her Human Resources responsibilities, Runion currently oversees Arrow University, Governmental Affairs, Technical Services, and Customer Care Training. In her new role as Chief Administrative Officer, she will continue to lead these critical functions while assuming broader strategic leadership responsibilities that support Arrow’s long-term growth, culture, and operational excellence.

Runion’s influence extends beyond Arrow and throughout the pest management industry. She made history as only the second female President of the Georgia Pest Control Association and currently serves as Chair of the Workforce Development Committee for the National Pest Management Association (NPMA). She has also chaired NPMA’s Professional Women in Pest Management Committee and Recruitment and Retention Committee.

“Shay’s leadership has helped shape not only Arrow’s future, but also the future of our industry,” said Tim Pollard, President and Chief Operating Officer of Arrow Exterminators. “She leads with integrity, humility, and a genuine desire to help others succeed. We are excited to see the positive impact she will continue to make in this expanded role.”

Throughout her career, Runion has remained committed to a simple philosophy: leadership is measured by the success and growth of others. Her dedication to mentoring, developing talent, and creating opportunities has left a lasting impact on Arrow, the pest management industry, and the countless individuals she has inspired throughout her career.
