The ATL Airport District Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), the destination marketing organization for the cities of College Park, Fairburn, Hapeville, South Fulton and Union City, Ga., today announced the launch of “Kick It In The District,” a community-wide campaign to support local businesses and welcome visitors during FIFA World Cup 2026™. Located minutes from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and with convenient access to Atlanta Stadium, the ATL Airport District offers visitors a welcoming home base to experience the tournament.

“With the world’s eyes on Atlanta during FIFA World Cup 2026™, this is an incredible opportunity to showcase the energy, hospitality and diversity that make the District so special,” said Mercedes Miller, president of the ATL Airport District CVB. “Our communities are ready to welcome fans from near and far with memorable experiences, exceptional accommodations and easy access to all of the entertainment the tournament offers. We are proud to serve as a gateway to one of the biggest sporting events in the world while also creating meaningful impact for our local businesses and partners.”

Throughout the tournament, the District will host community watch parties in each of its partner cities, with each event featuring food and beverage specials, giveaways, prizes and more. Host locations are listed below, and more details can be found online.

As part of the “Kick It In The District” campaign, the ATL Airport District CVB will also host an enter-to-win giveaway with one lucky winner receiving the ultimate tournament-inspired getaway to the District. The prize package includes a two-night stay at AC Hotel Atlanta Airport Gateway, $250 in gift cards to participating watch party locations, and a curated basket of campaign-branded merchandise – an estimated value of more than $500. The giveaway invites visitors and locals alike to come back and experience the District’s hospitality, dining and excitement after the exhilaration of the tournament is over. Atlanta is one of 16 host cities selected for FIFA World Cup 2026™, hosting a total of eight matches throughout the tournament, including one semifinal match. The 2026 tournament will be the largest FIFA World Cup in history, featuring 48 teams competing across the United States, Mexico and Canada.
