AT&T* and Compudopt provided Jasper County Family Connection 50 refurbished laptops today to distribute to Jasper County families.
The computers, funded by an AT&T investment, were given to Jasper County Family Connection to distribute to Jasper County students and families.
“At Jasper County Family Connection, our mission is centered on bringing community partners together to improve outcomes for youth and families and to ensure they have access to the resources they need to succeed,” said Targie Folds, Executive Director, Jasper County Family Connection. “We are proud to collaborate with AT&T to provide the families we serve with access to technology and digital resources they need to thrive in school and in life.”
“Expanding access to technology is essential to supporting long-term growth and opportunity in Jasper County. Investments like this help strengthen our communities by giving residents greater access to the digital tools that are increasingly important for education, workforce readiness and everyday life,” said Bruce Henry, Chairman, Jasper County Board of Commission. “We appreciate AT&T’s continued investment in Jasper County and their commitment to helping build a more connected county.”
“Communities thrive when residents have access to the tools and connections that support everyday life,” said Monticello Mayor DeAshley Thurman. “This donation will make a meaningful difference for residents in Jasper County, and we appreciate AT&T’s continued investment in our community. Efforts like this help bring people closer to the resources that strengthen families and neighborhoods across Monticello and Jasper County.”
This effort is part of AT&T’s initiative to help address the digital divide through internet accessibility, affordability and safe adoption. AT&T is committing $5 billion to help 25 million people get and stay connected to high-speed internet by 2030.
“At AT&T, we believe connectivity can open doors to greater opportunity for individuals, families and communities. We’re proud to continue investing in Jasper County by working alongside Jasper County Family Connection, whose work helps connect local families to important resources and support,” said Brian Barfield, Regional Director of External Affairs, AT&T Georgia. “Through this collaboration, we are providing Jasper County families with access to the technology and digital tools needed in today’s digital world. Together, we are connecting more Georgians to greater possibility.”
