Community Assistance Center Opens Ticket Sales for 2026 Annual Gala

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Monday, June 22nd, 2026

The Community Assistance Center (CAC) has opened ticket sales for its 2026 Annual Gala, Bringing Community Together for Change, an evening of community, celebration and philanthropy supporting CAC’s mission to prevent hunger and homelessness in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody and to empower people to achieve long-term stability. The gala will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 6:00 - 10:00 PM, at The Westin Atlanta Perimeter North.

Proceeds from the event support services that help individuals and families overcome immediate financial crises, including food insecurity and housing instability, while also funding programs that build pathways to long-term economic stability. As the cost of housing, groceries, and other necessities continue to rise, the resources required to help families remain safely housed and fed have increased significantly. In 2025, CAC served more than 4,400 households, distributed 1.1 million pounds of food, provided more than $769,000 in financial assistance, and helped 1,108 families avoid eviction.
