The Fulton Industrial Community Improvement District (CID) held its annual caucus of electors at its May meeting electing Evan Morton to its board of
directors for a two-year term. Morton is a vice president with Bridge Logistics Properties (BLP) where he supports the firm’s real estate investment and development initiatives in Atlanta.
BLP made its first investment in the Fulton Industrial corridor in 2024 with the acquisition of Transwest Industrial Park at 3655 Atlanta Industrial Drive, a three-building property totaling 415,000 square feet. The firm also owns an additional 83-acre site at the southern end of the district along Fulton Industrial Boulevard, where it plans to develop a 1.73 million-square-foot industrial project.
Gil Prado, executive director of the CID said, “With BLP’s growing presence in the Fulton Industrial area, we are thrilled to welcome Evan to our board. His industrial real estate experience will be invaluable as we continue to address significant infrastructure projects in the district.”
Evan began his commercial real estate career at The Net Lease Group, where he managed and marketed more than $450 million in single-tenant retail and industrial investment transactions. Before entering commercial real estate, he served for 10 years in the U.S. Army, including a tour of duty in Afghanistan. During his military service, he earned numerous commendations and medals, including the Bronze Star Medal and the Combat Action Badge. Evan holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in commercial real estate from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Science in economics and finance from Southern New Hampshire University.
Also at the May meeting, Kevin McVey, Justin Queen and Kent Walker were reelected to the board for four-year terms. McVey is vice president of manufacturing at MillerKnoll and has served on the CID board since 2019; Queen is director of operations for Americold Logistics and joined the board in 2024; and Walker is senior vice president of industrial properties for Selig and has been a board member since 2010.
