Georgia Tech Program Launches Students to Entrepreneurship, Cements Atlanta as Innovation Hub

 Georgia Tech masters student Joseph Lee said his latest creation solves a problem. Lee found many college students would not have the requisite experience employers were looking for when applying for jobs. 

"I spent more time applying to jobs than actually working at a job," Lee said. “People who can’t get an internship or are kind of isolated from sales or getting real world experience, we give that to them.”

His solution is outsourcing sales to college students. Lee said he started Agora to build sales experience, soft skills and provide feedback through artificial intelligence to train up a young workforce. Hired agents can make money per call and by commission. 

"Imagine we're Uber for sales," Lee said. "Imagine you've got students that can pick up their phone and start dialing for companies to make sales calls."
