Thursday, June 18th, 2026

ATLANTA, this summer, Goodwill of North Georgia plans to use a $500,000 legacy gift from the Coca-Cola Foundation to support career development services for temporary workers and jobseekers connected to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Atlanta. Through the partnership, Goodwill will deploy its Mobile Career Center and career services teams to community and fan events taking place in Atlanta during the 2026 FIFA World Cup events across the city, connecting jobseekers with free training, job coaching, and direct employment placement services.

Under the initiative, branded as the Goal Getter Career Expo powered by Goodwill of North Georgia® and the Coca-Cola Foundation, Goodwill career coaches will be on-site at major World Cup activations to enroll temporary event workers in career training programs and connect them to steady, long-term employment. Jobseekers will have access to job search resources, including computers, resume-writing tools, job listings, employment seminars, and software training, as well as pathways into high-demand fields such as clean energy, IT, cybersecurity, healthcare, construction, logistics, supply chain, and more.

"Atlanta welcomes the world. Goodwill connects it to careers, said Jenny Taylor, vice president of career services at Goodwill of North Georgia.
