Hawks and BMW Celebrate the Third Annual ‘She Leads’ Graduating Class
Tuesday, June 30th, 2026
On Friday, the Atlanta Hawks recognized the achievements of more than 50 women at the third annual She LEADS Women’s Empowerment Program with a graduation presented by BMW at the Georgia Aquarium.
Over the course of the six-month She LEADS program, the early-career leaders engaged in immersive sessions focused on professional and personal development, leadership growth, and networking activities designed to nurture, empower, and honor women leaders in our community.
"It is an honor to recognize the achievements of our third SheLEADS cohort, who have set a new standard for professional excellence.” said Hawks’ Executive Vice President and Chief People, Diversity and Inclusion Officer Camye Mackey. “These women have shown incredible dedication to their professional and personal evolution, and it has been a privilege to witness their growth. We are eager to see how their collective and individual leadership continues to transform and elevate the city of Atlanta.”
Beyond professional development workshops and one-on-one mentoring, the cohort engaged in a series of curated experiences designed to foster well-rounded leadership. Highlights included a high-performance driving day and leadership panel at the BMW Performance Center in South Carolina, golf lessons, and a special networking session. The curriculum also included personal growth through a financial wellness workshop, a holistic wellness panel, a cocktail-making class, and a signature experience at an Atlanta Hawks game.
“This cohort’s ambition and resilience are a testament to what can be achieved when talented women are given opportunities to learn, connect and lead,” said BMW Southern Region Marketing Manager, Curtis Snyder.
“At BMW, we believe strong communities are built by strong leaders, and we are honored to support a program that helps cultivate both. We look forward to seeing these graduates continue to break barriers, inspire others and create lasting impact throughout the community.”
The morning celebration offered participants a moment of reflection as they viewed videos and letters created at the start of their journey, highlighting their individual growth. This meaningful look back was followed by the formal recognition of the third annual class. Each graduate received a leadership book, a customized She LEADS basketball, and a mantra bracelet, a cherished gifting tradition that symbolizes the conclusion of each year’s program.
