Atlanta Airport ‘Plane Train' Technicians Ratify Contract

Alstom technicians who maintain the automated people mover at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport have ratified their first union contract, the Transportation Communications Union has announced.
The contract is the first since the workers voted to unionize last year.
The five-year agreement includes an immediate 18% wage retroactive to April of this year, with 3% annual increases for the remainder of the contract. Workers also receive a $2,600 ratification bonus, five paid sick days with an annual cash-out option for unused leave, five paid holidays, and a 5% premium for Lead Technicians.
