Atlanta’s New Bike Barriers Are Flipping Cars and Sparking Debate

If you drive down Cherokee Avenue in Atlanta's Grant Park neighborhood and see a car precariously balanced on two wheels atop a concrete divider, don't adjust your glasses. Over the past few weeks, a newly installed protected bike lane has turned into an unexpected hazard for local drivers.
According to a recent report by WSB-TV, multiple vehicles have collided with the low-profile concrete barriers that separate the bike lane from moving traffic. The aftermath usually results in cars either flipping onto their sides or ending up completely "beached" on top of the dividers
