Chattahoochee Nature Center Unveils New Branding During 50th Anniversary Events
Thursday, July 16th, 2026
Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and leader in environmental education, conservation and the rehabilitation of native plants and wildlife along the Chattahoochee River, metro Atlanta, and the state of Georgia, commemorated its 50th anniversary with a three-day celebration last month. The series of events honored the organization’s legacy and marked the public debut of the nonprofit’s refreshed branding to celebrate its future.
During the 50th anniversary celebration events, CNC welcomed new and returning visitors to its campus, honoring five decades of environmental education and conservation. Nearly 1,500 guests attended across the three events, highlighting CNC's lasting impact on the local and regional community. At the 50th Anniversary Community Celebration, CNC unveiled its new brand identity, reflecting the organization's continued growth.
“Fifty years ago, a small group of volunteers believed Roswell needed a place where people could fall in love with nature. Today, that belief has grown into 127 acres and five decades of memories for this community,” said Natasha Rice, president and CEO of CNC. “As heartwarming it has been to celebrate the past, we recognized the importance of implementing new strategies to support our future, having dedicated months to establish our new branding for this special unveiling.”
In partnership with Golden Lasso Agency, CNC developed a new logo, refreshed website and updated key messaging that reinforces its role as a leader of native plant and wildlife rehabilitation, conservation and environmental education. While the organization will continue to operate under the Chattahoochee Nature Center name, the refreshed branding reflects the organization’s evolution over the past 50 years while remaining rooted in its founding mission of connecting people with nature.
The new brand messaging will serve as a revitalized marketing strategy to engage audiences to encourage visitation and connection with the nature center. The new tagline, “Discovery Flows Here,” was selected to represent the overarching feeling of being on CNC’s campus. Whether a visitor witnesses a flash of movement in the water or learns a new fact from a member of the CNC team, discovery, within nature, is a guaranteed part of a visit to CNC.
Alongside the new tagline, CNC's mission statement has been refreshed to reflect this renewed focus: "Inspiring lifelong connections with nature through the Chattahoochee River." This update brings the river to the forefront of CNC's identity, underscoring its role not just as a feature of the campus, but as a vital resource that sustains much of the metro region. By centering the Chattahoochee in its mission, CNC reaffirms its commitment to fostering a deeper appreciation for the river's ecological importance and the natural systems it supports.
“Our mission hasn’t changed in 50 years, but our story has continued to grow. This refreshed branding represents the impact we are making today and the future we envision for our organization.” said Rice.
