EFK Moen, a civil engineering design consulting firm with offices in the Midwest and Southeast, has completed the strategic acquisition of Linear Infrastructure Group, adding four experienced Georgia transportation engineers to its growing Atlanta office.

The strategic acquisition, effective June 23, 2026, brings Chris Edmondson, PE; Ida Cham, PE; Kevin Kahle, PE, SE; and Nguyenvu Vo, PE, to EFK Moen as Senior Project Managers. Together, the four engineers bring nearly 100 years of combined transportation infrastructure experience in Georgia, with deep expertise in roadway design, bridge design, structural engineering, project management and Georgia Department of Transportation processes.

The move significantly strengthens EFK Moen’s Atlanta office, which opened in 2017, and expands the firm’s ability to support transportation, safety, bridge replacement and mobility projects across Georgia.

“EFK Moen’s strategic acquisition of Linear Infrastructure Group significantly deepens our transportation and bridge design experience in Georgia,” said Linda Moen, PE, President and Managing Member of EFK Moen. “Chris, Ida, Kevin and Vo bring the kind of local knowledge, technical leadership and project management experience that will help us continue delivering thoughtful, cost-effective infrastructure solutions for our clients. As we approach our tenth year in Atlanta and our 30th year in business, this is an important step in the continued growth of our Georgia office.”

The acquisition supports EFK Moen’s broader strategy of organic growth coupled with strategic market expansion. The firm has spent nearly a decade building its presence in Georgia and is currently part of three GDOT General Engineering Consultant teams supporting project delivery in Districts 2, 3 and 7, and is an active member of the MMIP I-285 Top End Express Lanes design team from early in the project’s inception. EFK Moen’s engineers are also providing road and bridge design for multiple Design Build projects as well as three traditionally procured GDOT projects.

The addition of the Linear team positions EFK Moen for continued growth in response to Georgia’s evolving transportation needs, including bridge replacements, safety improvements, roadway modernization and more efficient mobility for vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians.

Vo, who served as President and one of the founding partners of Linear Infrastructure Group, said joining EFK Moen gives the team a larger platform to continue serving Georgia communities and infrastructure clients.

“We are excited to join EFK Moen because of the firm’s strong technical reputation, collaborative culture and clear commitment to growing in Georgia,” said Nguyenvu Vo, PE, Senior Project Manager at EFK Moen. “Our team has spent many years working together on transportation and bridge projects throughout the state, and this move allows us to bring that experience to a broader organization with additional resources and shared values. We look forward to helping EFK Moen continue to grow its Atlanta office and deliver infrastructure solutions that improve safety, mobility and quality of life.”

The four senior engineers bring complementary experience across roadway, highway, bridge and structural design.

Edmondson has more than 33 years of transportation design and construction experience, including public-sector experience with the Georgia Department of Transportation and decades in the private sector as a design engineer, subject matter expert and project manager. His background includes roadway, interchange, bridge replacement and transportation improvement projects across Georgia.

Cham brings over 20 years of roadway design and project leadership experience, including work on intersection improvements, new interchange design, bridge replacement projects, rural and urban roadway widening, utility coordination, drainage and erosion and sedimentation control. She is a licensed Professional Engineer and holds Georgia Level II erosion and sedimentation control certification.

Kahle brings 25 years of bridge, structural and project management experience. He holds both Professional Engineer and Structural Engineer licenses in Georgia and has worked on a wide range of bridge projects, including rural bridge replacements, major river crossings and complex urban infrastructure.

Vo brings more than 20 years of bridge and structural engineering leadership experience. A Georgia Tech graduate and licensed Professional Engineer, he previously spent more than a decade with the Georgia Department of Transportation as a Lead Bridge Engineer and later led bridge and structural engineering teams in the private sector.

EFK Moen has 75 employees and continues to grow its transportation and infrastructure design services in Georgia, Missouri, Illinois and other key markets.
