Gwinnett has once again placed in the top 10 for the 2026 Digital Counties Survey among counties with a population of 1 million or more. This repeat honor for Gwinnett demonstrates the county’s commitment to the Gwinnett Standard – a dedicated expectation of excellence in service, stewardship and innovation.   
         
Innovation is the key to the judging process for the Digital Counties Survey that also evaluates counties across their strengths in strategic planning, cybersecurity, digital services, organizational technology leadership and data management. It then ranks how county governments use technology to improve government operations, strengthen public services and deliver better outcomes for residents.     
 
“Being a benchmark community means setting the standard of excellence that positively impacts our residents’ daily lives,” said Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson. “From protecting our neighborhoods with smarter technology to implementing and delivering secure digital services, we’re constantly improving to make County programs and resources simpler and more accessible for every member of our community.” 

The survey is conducted by the Center for Digital Government in partnership with the National Association of Counties.
