Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Wednesday, July 15th, 2026

Jamestown, a design-focused real estate investment and management firm, today announced plans to enhance sustainability at Buckhead Village through the installation of an on-site solar power infrastructure to support corporate and common area operations. Construction on the system at Buckhead Village is slated to begin late September.

Jamestown has partnered with Cherry Street Energy, a leading provider of on-site solar power in the Southeast, through an energy agreement to install, operate and maintain the 227-panel solar array at the property. Cherry Street’s system will generate over 145,000 kWh of electricity each year, offsetting over 90 Metric Tons of carbon emissions annually.

Since launching a sustainability program in 2008, Jamestown has continuously integrated environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices across its operations. After exceeding its initial ESG goals, the firm has refined its targets which now includes achieving net zero operational carbon by 2050 from a 2018 baseline, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and energy use intensity by 50% by 2030, and achieving waste diversion and water use intensity reduction targets by 2050. By embedding ESG objectives directly into team-specific goals, Jamestown aims to improve accountability and drive long-term impact across its portfolio.

"Integrating on-site solar power at Buckhead Village is an important step in advancing Jamestown's long-term sustainability strategy. As we work toward emissions reduction goals across our portfolio, projects like this demonstrate how strong partnerships can help us reduce environmental impact while enhancing the performance and resilience of our properties. We're proud to work with Cherry Street Energy to bring this resource to the Buckhead neighborhood,” said Carrie Denning Jackson, Director of Innovation and Sustainability at Jamestown.

Cherry Street’s distributed power network of over 225 solar energy systems supports customers across the Southeast such as Delta Air Lines, the Porsche Experience Center, the City of Atlanta, Fulton County, and Atlanta International School.

“Jamestown creates places people love. Our job is to power them,” said Michael Chanin, founder and CEO of Cherry Street Energy. “Cherry Street funds, builds and operates the infrastructure at Buckhead Village, allowing the property to gain on-site generation and a fixed electricity rate without deploying a dollar of capital. When one of the most respected names in real estate treats energy as essential infrastructure, it signals where the market is headed.”

Located atop the Spanx headquarters building, the solar power system will support operations within Buckhead Village, a cosmopolitan fashion, dining, and lifestyle neighborhood in Atlanta featuring a wide range of retail including first-to-market concepts and heritage brands, as well as acclaimed dining and wellness experiences.
