Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, announced today the sale of the Shops at Hampton Oaks, a retail center in Fairburn, Georgia. The asset sold for $2,925,000.
 
“Unanchored convenience-oriented retail strip centers with real upside are rare and in high demand,” said Zach Taylor, senior managing director investments in Marcus & Millichap’s Atlanta office. “We sourced ten offers for our institutional seller and closed above our asking price.”
 
Taylor and Eric Abbot of Marcus & Millichap exclusively marketed the property on behalf of the seller, a partnership controlled by Regency Centers. 
 
Located at 7580 Springbox Drive, the Shops at Hampton Oaks consist of 20,925 square feet on a 5.55-acre lot. The eight-suite retail strip was built in 2008 and was 93% occupied at the time of sale. Tenants include a diverse mix of fitness, experiential and service-oriented businesses.  
 
The Shops at Hampton Oaks has direct frontage to U.S. Highway 92 and is surrounded by the Hampton Oaks residential community. The property is near major employers including Delta Airlines, Coca-Cola and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
