Mitsubishi Electric Classic Donates More Than $558,000 to Local Charities, Including $343,000 Through Birdies for Charity Presented by Northside Hospital

The Mitsubishi Electric Classic presented by Vensure announced today that the 2026 tournament raised $558,104.13 for local charities through the Gwinnett Championship Foundation. Georgia's only PGA TOUR Champions event has now donated more than $6.3 million to organizations throughout Gwinnett County and metro Atlanta since its inception in 2013. 
 
The tournament's primary beneficiaries are Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett and Cink Charities, with additional support provided to numerous nonprofit organizations throughout the area. The tournament raises funds through multiple charitable programs, including Birdies for Charity presented by Northside Hospital, Folds of Honor Friday presented by SAIA Freight + Logistics, Birdies for Trees presented by Solvo, and Tickets Fore Good.

Birdies for Charity presented by Northside Hospital, the tournament's largest fundraising initiative, generated more than $343,000 for participating nonprofit organizations in 2026. Since launching in 2013, Birdies for Charity presented by Northside Hospital has raised more than $3.5 million, providing metro Atlanta nonprofits with a simple, risk-free fundraising platform to support their missions. Northside Hospital became the presenting sponsor of the program in 2026 through an enhanced partnership with the tournament that extends through 2030. The long-term commitment reflects Northside Hospital's dedication to strengthening local nonprofits and investing in the health and well-being of communities throughout Gwinnett County and metro Atlanta.

Participating charities in Birdies for Charity presented by Northside Hospital in 2026 included Cooper's Crew, Grayson Cluster Schools Foundation, Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett, and Women's Club of Sugarloaf Country Club Charities. Funds raised through the program directly support each organization's mission while helping strengthen communities throughout the region.
