Duluth’s Moneypenny held its annual summer party at its US headquarters, bringing together more than 200 employees and their families from its Atlanta and Miami offices for a relaxed evening of rodeo-themed food, music and fun. The Wales-based company loves celebrating its US culture, with this being its 2nd hoedown its thrown for its teams.
“We have long fostered a culture of connection by creating regular opportunities for our teams to be together because we know that teams that play together stay together,” said Chanel Braddy, US Head of People and Operations for Moneypenny. “Whether it be breaking bread, or rather barbecue, with each other, or cheering on whoever was brave enough to try riding the mechanical bull, it’s always inspiring to see the camaraderie we’ve helped create, with both colleagues and their families.”
The night featured scrumptious barbecue, homemade sides, and Atlanta's own King of Pops for dessert. Guests spent the evening line dancing and trying their luck on the mechanical bull, while kids enjoyed water toys and bounce houses. Awards went out to several cowboys and cowgirls for: the longest bull ride, raffle winnings, and the longest standing in several go-rounds of line dancing. Employee Kristy Prado from Miami lasted the longest in line dancing, and the son of an employee won bull-riding with an impressive 67 seconds.
To wrap things up, fireworks lit up the night sky above their Duluth offices, which was a perfect way to celebrate the many connections the night sparked.
