Field Finalized for 2026 TOUR Championship, FedExCup Playoffs Set for Dramatic Conclusion
Tuesday, August 25th, 2026
The field is set for the 2026 TOUR Championship with the top 30 players in the FedExCup standings qualifying for the season finale at East Lake Golf Club. Wyndham Clark earned his sixth win of his PGA TOUR career and third victory of the 2026 season at the BMW Championship, moving him to No. 3 in the FedExCup standings as he seeks his first FedExCup title.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who won The American Express and FedEx St. Jude Championship this season, collected a T12 finish at Bellerive Country Club and enters the week as FedExCup leader for the fifth consecutive season as he looks to become a two-time FedExCup Champion (2024). Matt Fitzpatrick (No. 2) and Chris Gotterup (No. 6) join Clark as the only three-time winners this season, while 2026 PLAYERS Champion Cameron Young (No. 4) looks to cap off a breakout year. Si Woo Kim (No. 5) is the highest-ranked player in the FedExCup without a win on TOUR this season.
Supported by Proud Partners Accenture, Coca-Cola and Southern Company, the TOUR Championship serves as the culminating event of the FedExCup Playoffs, where all 30 players start the tournament at even par with the winner claiming the FedExCup.
The first and second rounds will be broadcast live for the first time on ESPN linear channels on Thursday, Aug. 27 and Friday, Aug. 28 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., followed by Golf Channel coverage from 1-6 p.m. The third round will be broadcast from Golf Channel 1-3 p.m. and on CBS from 3-7 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, with the final round slated for Sunday, August 31 from 12-1:30 p.m. on Golf Channel and 1:30-6 p.m. on CBS.
