Honeywell Technologies launched its Building Automation Early Career Sales Program, a new development initiative designed to cultivate the next generation of technical sales leaders. Based in Honeywell's Midtown Atlanta office, the program welcomed its inaugural cohort of 19 participants on June 1, bringing together recent graduates from leading universities across North America.
The cohort consists of graduates from diverse academic backgrounds, including business, engineering, technology, and related disciplines. Participants represent institutions including Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia Southern University, Jackson State University, Florida State University, Kennesaw State University, the University of Toronto, Purdue University, and the University of South Carolina.
The program provides a unique opportunity for recent May and December graduates to begin their careers in a collaborative environment where technical innovation meets customer-focused problem solving. Through exposure to sales, engineering, operations, and customer engagement functions, participants gain firsthand experience helping customers solve real-world challenges through Honeywell's building automation technologies.
"The Early Career Sales Program reflects our commitment to investing in the next generation of commercial leaders,” said Ceynur Nak, Director, Sales Excellence. Through hands-on learning, mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and real-world customer engagement, we are equipping emerging professionals with the skills, confidence, and business acumen needed to drive customer success and advance innovative building technologies. This program is more than a talent accelerator—it is a strategic investment in the future of our sales organization and the talent that will help shape the future of Building Automation."
For participant Mya Grimes, a May 2026 Jackson State University graduate, the program represents the culmination of a journey that began years before joining the inaugural cohort.
"Joining Honeywell's inaugural Building Automation Early Career Sales Program is a full-circle moment for me. From participating in Honeywell's HBCU Leadership Summit and interning with the company to now beginning my full-time career in Atlanta, I've experienced firsthand the value of investing in early-career talent. As a Jackson State University graduate and founder of Triple Threat, an organization dedicated to helping students maximize opportunities through earnings, enrichment, and extracurricular involvement, I'm especially excited to be part of a program that brings together innovation, customer impact, and continuous learning. It's an incredible opportunity to learn at the intersection of business and engineering while building a foundation for long-term success."
The program emphasizes cross-functional learning, allowing participants to work alongside engineering, product, operations, and commercial teams. By connecting technical knowledge with customer engagement, the cohort will develop a comprehensive understanding of how Honeywell Technologies' innovations create value for customers across commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, industrial sites, and critical infrastructure.
In addition to technical and commercial training, participants will receive mentorship, professional development opportunities, and hands-on experience designed to accelerate growth and prepare them for long-term careers within Honeywell Technologies’ Building Automation business.
The inaugural cohort reflects Honeywell's commitment to investing in emerging talent and creating pathways for recent graduates to contribute to some of today's most pressing challenges, including energy efficiency, sustainability, digital transformation, and smart building technologies.
As demand grows for professionals who can navigate both technical and business environments, Honeywell intends for the Building Automation Early Career Sales Program to serve as a foundation for future cohorts and continued investment in workforce development. By providing recent graduates with a structured pathway into a dynamic and highly technical industry, Honeywell is helping cultivate the next generation of commercial leaders while reinforcing its commitment to talent development innovation, and long-term customer success.
