Hyperion Bank Earns Inc. 5000 Recognition Third Consecutive Year

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Thursday, August 27th, 2026

Hyperion Bank, a full-service community bank serving Atlanta and Philadelphia, is included on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies, marking the bank’s third consecutive appearance on the prestigious annual ranking. Hyperion climbed to No. 2,693 – moving up from 3,835 in 2024 and 3,127 in 2025 – continuing a three-year trend of improving its national standing while demonstrating consistent, disciplined growth.

For many companies, appearing on the Inc. 5000 represents a single breakout year. For Hyperion, a nearly 20-year-old community bank preparing to celebrate its anniversary in November, a third consecutive appearance reflects a long-term strategy centered on relationships, local decision-making and smart, sustainable growth. The bank’s Inc. 5000 ranking this year is based on percentage revenue growth over three years of 119%.

“Making the Inc. 5000 for three consecutive years – and improving our ranking each year – demonstrates that disciplined execution, exceptional people and a commitment to local banking continue to resonate with the businesses and communities we serve,” says Charlie Crawford, Chairman & CEO of Hyperion Bank. “Disciplined growth. Local at heart. Nationally recognized.”

The recognition comes during a year of continued momentum for Hyperion. In July, parent company Hyperion Bancshares announced the successful closing of an oversubscribed $14.7 million capital raise, with proceeds dedicated to supporting continued organic growth in Philadelphia and Atlanta rather than acquisitions or balance sheet repair.

Hyperion also recently reported strong year-over-year operating performance, including 23% deposit growth, 19% loan growth and a 10.5% increase in book value per share over the previous 12 months. Those results reflect the same disciplined strategy that has earned national recognition for three consecutive years.

“Each milestone builds on the last,” says Crawford says. “Our customers place their trust in us. That enables us to responsibly grow deposits and lending, invest in our people and technology, attract additional investor confidence and continue expanding our ability to serve local businesses and families. It’s a cycle we’re committed to sustaining without losing what makes community banking special.”

As the bank approaches its 20th anniversary, leadership views the latest Inc. recognition as validation that community banking and high growth are not mutually exclusive.

“We set out to build a different kind of bank,” says Hyperion President & COO Lou DeCesare. “Today we’re proving that a community bank can compete nationally while staying true to its mission of personal service, local leadership and smart, sustainable growth. That’s something our employees, customers, business partners, shareholders – and the communities we serve – all share in, and we thank them all, as well as congratulating everyone on this year’s Inc. 5000!”
