RaceTrac, Inc., one of the largest privately held companies in the United States, today announced that Jill Pemberton has joined the senior leadership team as chief financial officer. In this role, Pemberton will lead financial strategy and growth for RaceTrac, Inc. and its family of brands, including RaceTrac, RaceWay, Energy Dispatch, Gulf and Potbelly.
Pemberton joins RaceTrac, Inc. from LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, where she most recently served as chief financial officer for the company’s $20 billion North America region. In that role, she partnered with executive leadership to drive financial strategy and business performance across a complex, multi-brand organization, leading teams spanning accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury, information technology, procurement and risk management.
“Jill’s extensive experience in financial strategy, long-range planning, business transformation, mergers and acquisitions, and operational excellence is a perfect complement to our growth strategy,” said Natalie Morhous, CEO of RaceTrac, Inc. “She is a collaborative, people-focused leader who is passionate about developing talent and building high-performing teams. Those qualities align closely with our culture and values, making her a strong fit for this role.”
Pemberton has held senior finance roles at Viacom, Johnson & Johnson, H.J. Heinz and Delta Air Lines. She serves on the board of directors of The Toro Company, where she chairs the audit committee.
Pemberton will report directly to Morhous and will lead RaceTrac, Inc.’s accounting, finance, tax and treasury teams. She succeeds Karla Ahlert, who served as RaceTrac, Inc.’s CFO from 2020 until this year and was recently named the company’s first chief administrative officer, a new senior leadership role overseeing shared services including human resources, supply chain, special projects and procurement.
