Kennesaw State’s Economic Impact Tops $2.55 Billion

Kennesaw State University continues to be a major economic engine in metro Atlanta, growing its economic impact to more than $2.55 billion in fiscal year 2025, according to a University System of Georgia (USG) report released on Aug. 13.
Kennesaw State’s FY 2025 economic impact in the Atlanta Metropolitan Statistical Area marked an 11.1% increase from $2.3 billion the previous year. The total impact of all 26 USG institutions across the state of Georgia was $25.1 billion in fiscal year 2025, up 8.9% from $23.1 billion in FY 2024.
“Kennesaw State University’s growing economic impact reflects the momentum we have built through our commitment to student success, community partnerships and workforce innovation, creating lasting value for Georgia,” KSU President Kathy S. Schwaig said. “By fostering collaboration and preparing graduates to meet the needs of rapidly evolving industries, KSU continues to serve as a catalyst for growth, opportunity and prosperity in metro Atlanta and throughout the state.”
